Jerr calls them "head books." He had borrowed this title from a friend three times then he bought his own copy. Then he bought one for each of our sons. Then he bought one for his best friend. Focusing on the "book's content" isn't possible. Reading it will focus you on a lot of things.
I found this book in my mother's library when I was in High School. I read it on my own and found it hard to put down. 16 years later I find that this book had a profound affect on my who I am and where I am in my life. This book and my hard work, have definetly raised my conciousness level and the responsibility I hold for my own life. Alot of the same teachings found in Castenada's or Ruiz's books are similar.
Yes, I know that's a grandiose statement. I first read Bill Harvey's book about 20 years ago. At the time, I was studying psychology and had read many books on personal development. With the continued growth of the "new-age" movement and particularly, the assimilation of many of these concepts into business management practices, there has since been a literal explosion of books on focusing, awareness-raising, relaxation techniques, goal and priority setting, etc. Although many of these are interesting and useful, Harvey's book has stood the test of time as one of the most insightful "manuals" on how to develop these skills. If you enjoyed "The Instant Millionaire", you'll appreciate Harvey's writing style which reflects an author who "walks his talk". A truly magical book which was out of print for many years but has since been resurrected. Take advantage of it!
This book is a re-titleing of his FREEING CREATIVE EFFECTIVENESS from 2002. The material in the book is of a highly advanced nature with reference to a functioning person. As an advanced meditator(not my assertion, but my teachers, I always deny such claims) this material is really the goal of such. The aforementioned title will be a few dollars cheaper and have used options.

Not for the weak-hearted, nor the easily scared, this book is THE owners manual for the mind. This book presents nearly impossible challenges to even the most powerful and dedicated seekers. I've never known a single person that actually finished the work contained in this book.
When I took up my asceticism, I decided to give my extensive book collection to the local library. After paring down hundreds of books I was left with only 3 essential manuscripts. Mind Magic The Science of the Microcosm is one of those incredible spiritual powerhouses. Only recently did I finally give my copy away to a young man in need of self-understanding.
